Mission
The mission of Humanity’s Kitchen is to educate, equip, and empower individuals in the art of culinary arts. We will do this through training, resources, and empowerment through food in order for students to achieve self-sufficiency, for a successful life.
We do this by:
Encouraging personal growth
Providing a positive and safe environment
Promoting independence and teamwork
Our Vision
Humanity’s Kitchen is committed to helping adults and youth learn the art of cooking. As a result, students will learn skills that they can use in the home and the workplace.
Our Values
Humanity’s Kitchen will create win-win situations for adults and youth who have no knowledge of cooking. It can prepare adults for additional training for the workforce or train them to learn new skills to prepare food for their families. It can prepare youth who desire to learn how to cook and to prepare them for transitioning into adulthood.
These goals will be achieved by respecting the talents and abilities of all participants; teaching through service to others; providing support, encouragement, and guidance to participants during the cooking classes and recognizing the special needs and talents of participants; and nurturing participants’ self-esteem and self-confidence.
